Skye McDonald MacLaren is passionate about the firm’s mission to help their clients move on to the next chapter of their life’s journey with hope and confidence. With her unique dual career in law and education, as well as her personal experience with divorce, she is especially equipped to support our clients and their families with both compassion and true understanding. She provides insight and a valuable contribution to the firm’s understanding of the effect divorce can have on children, potential ways to minimize those effects, and the identification of supportive resources for parents.

She has nearly a decade’s experience in supervising business operations, policy & procedure development and implementation, strategic planning, human resources oversight, employee development, and community relations. Skye is also an accomplished paralegal with two decades of experience. She has actively participated in all phases of civil litigation, including complex cases surrounding family law, product liability, medical malpractice, and environmental and insurance defense. Skye achieved a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education and has significant experience in her dual career working in the education field with children and families in both public and private institutions.

Among other organizations, Skye is an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators; the State Bar of Texas, Legal Assistants Division; the National Federation of Paralegals Association; and the Dallas Association of Legal Assistants. Skye is also a registered Notary Public.

Skye lives in the Dallas metroplex with her family, where she is an avid volunteer at her church and her child’s school. Skye enjoys expressing joy through music, brightening the world through gardening, exploring the world through travel, and serving her local community. Skye has been a long-time PTA participant, PTA board member, and Band Booster in her local school districts, and also volunteers frequently to support her local school’s students and programs. She is passionate about advocating for children and families, supporting local theater and fine arts programs, promoting environmental and marine conservation, and fostering food allergy awareness.

Skye is grateful to be part of a team dedicated to providing an alternative to the often-destructive legal process of divorce. “I am particularly focused on serving our clients and their families by helping them emerge from this period of their lives stronger and renewed with hope. I personally know that is possible, and I find it very rewarding to help our clients reach that realization themselves as well.”
