Skye McDonald MacLaren is passionate about the firm’s mission to help their clients move on to the next chapter of their life’s journey empowered with hope and confidence. With her unique dual careers in law and education encompassing thirty years, as well as her personal experience with divorce, she is especially equipped to support our clients and their families with both compassion and true understanding.

Skye has significant experience in her educational career working with children and families in both public and private institutions, including in previous Director roles. This allows her to provide distinctive insight and valuable contributions to the firm’s understanding of the effect divorce can have on children, potential ways to minimize those effects, and the identification of supportive resources for parents.

Also an accomplished paralegal with two decades of experience in that role, Skye’s legal career additionally allows her to understand how to support both the production team and our clients. She has actively participated in all phases of civil litigation, including complex cases surrounding family law, product liability, medical malpractice, and environmental and insurance defense. Skye was also asked by a top-ranking, industry-leading, multinational client to enhance their internal discovery processes, and was integral to the creation of a national database and repository that facilitated their ability to respond in legal matters in an efficient and cohesive manner.

In tandem with these combined perspectives, she is passionate about empowering our team to reach their own highest potential. Skye’s many current roles include strategic planning, supervising business operations, fiscal oversight, marketing strategic planning and management, sales oversight, client relations, policy & procedure development and implementation, human resources oversight, employee empowerment, facilities management, project management, and community relations.

Skye achieved a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as a Bachelor’s Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. Among other organizations, Skye is or has been a member of the Association of Legal Administrators; the State Bar of Texas, Legal Assistants Division; the National Federation of Paralegals Association; and the Dallas Association of Legal Assistants; and the Louisiana Association of Educators. Skye is also a registered Notary Public.

Living in the Dallas metroplex with her family, Skye enjoys expressing joy through music (singing, dancing and listening), exploring the world through travel, brightening the world through gardening, and serving her local community. Skye has been a long-time PTA participant, PTA board member, and Band Booster in her local school districts, and also volunteered frequently to support her local school’s students and programs. She is passionate about advocating for children and families, supporting local theater and fine arts programs, promoting environmental and marine conservation, and fostering food allergy awareness.

Skye is grateful to be part of a team dedicated to providing an alternative to the often-destructive legal process of divorce. “I am particularly focused on serving our clients and their families by helping them emerge from this period of their lives stronger and renewed with hope. I personally know that is possible, and I find it very rewarding to help our clients reach that realization themselves as well.” Skye is just as passionate about helping our highly skilled team reach their own potential, which in turn serves our clients as well. “This is the best team I’ve ever been a part of, and it’s due to everyone being the best at what they do, and everyone doing it for the right reasons.”
