Could refusing the COVID vaccine put someone at risk of losing custody or visitation with their child. Jennifer Hargrove at the Hargrove Family Law in Dallas says it’s unlikely.

In my experience judges are actually pretty hesitant to make a medical decision like that without a medical expert’s opinion. But there are exceptions. For example, if a parent is taking some action that is intentional in putting that child at risk or if there is some kind of neglect or intentional action that is harmful to the child.

So as Jennifer says,  it’s best for parents to communicate with each other when it comes to medical decisions and she adds that parents usually are on the same page when it comes to their kids’ health.
