With experience in collaborative law and mediation, combined with many years of litigation practice, Carie Silvestri has honed her skills in creative problem solving while having an empathetic ear. This enables her to navigate even the most challenging circumstances to help families resolve their conflicts and reach amicable settlement agreements.
Carie focuses her practice exclusively on family law and mediation of family law cases. A native Texan, she graduated from SMU School of Law (now SMU Dedman School of Law) in 1999 and has owned her law practice in Allen, Texas. She has been practicing family law exclusively since 2006.
With extensive experience in collaborative law, Carie has been a frequent presenter at conferences held by the State Bar of Texas, Collaborative Divorce Texas, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Carie took her first mediation training course in 2007 and has continued to participate in mediation trainings throughout her career, including attending the prestigious Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, Harvard Negotiation Institute “Mediating Disputes” mediation training in 2018.
Carie has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Collaborative Law: Family Law every year since 2015, Family Law every year since 2016, and Best Law Firm, Tier 1 every year since 2017. In 2023, she was also recognized as Lawyer of the Year for Collaborative Law in Dallas/Ft. Worth by Best Lawyers.
